Our Services…
Assessments
SAIFF provides assessment of risk and need which can be used to guide case and treatment planning.
Assessments guide many aspects of intervention planning including
- Developing safety plans for the home, school and community
- Identification of individual and family treatment needs/goals
- Decision making in situations of sibling sexual abuse including need to separate (or not), contact planning and home safety planning
SAIFF can prepare assessment and treatment reports for Care proceedings, family court matters and Criminal matters (including applications for AVOs)
Treatment Services
When working with children and young people who engage in harmful sexual behaviour SAIFF adopts a family and systems approach to intervention.
This may include:
- Individual intervention to the child who has engaged in the harmful sexual behaviour
- Parent intervention and support
- Family intervention including involvement of other siblings
- Joint therapy intervention (reparative work) with siblings (when abuse has occurred in a sibling relationship)
- Consultation with support services and Statutory Agencies involved
- Development of safety plans for home, school and in the community
Consultation & Supervision
SAIFF provides clinical consultation to individuals and Agencies.
We can provide:
- Ongoing professional supervision to individuals and teams
- Individual Case Consultation
- Assistance in the development of Policy and Procedure relating to harmful sexual behaviour
- Consultation around program development
Training
SAIFF provides training that is skills based and can be applied in real life work environments, that draws on current clinical knowledge and research, and which motivates and enhances confidence in its participants to be able to support children and families in being healthy and safe.

- Online workshops and webinars
- Training specifically for Agencies or teams
- Presentations and keynote addresses at local and international conferences
